Nearsightedness Lasik Surgery & Myopia Laser Treatment

Myopia, or nearsightedness, occurs when the cornea is too curved or the eye is too long. Light rays focus in front of, instead of directly on, the retina. This results in blurry distance vision.

We correct myopia by redirecting the rays of light to focus on the retina.

Attempts to see far away objects can result in headaches, eyestrain and fatigue. Myopia may be genetic and can start as early as childhood. Options to correct myopia included glasses, contact lenses or refractive surgery, all of which are available at the Goldberg Centre.

The excimer laser used by Dr. Chaim Goldberg, the VISX S4, is the most proven laser to treat myopia successfully, using advanced technology of”IRIS Registration” and”Eye Tracking”.

We invite you to book a free consultation at our Toronto clinic to discuss your vision correction options.
